In 1990, we designed the Clipkey and applied for its patents. By May, we started making the injection tools for it
and by September started selling the packaged product to various UK retailers and direct to the sporting public at weekend running races.
In 1991, following exhibitions at major events like the London Marathon, Den Hague and Goteborg Half-marathon road races,
international sales started through distributors in France, The Netherlands and Sweden.
The Clipkey was originally designed for the promotional gift market and from 1992 customised versions were produced for
'Mycil' (athletes' foot powder) and various retailers, clubs and event promoters. During this phase, we were increasingly
involved with the designing and sourcing of many types of products. From the application for patents for a new type of
drinks packaging, we acted as design consultants to various manufacturers and SmithKline Beecham, as it was then known,
developing approaches for new techniques and materials.
Keystrap was designed and put into production on the appointment of Alkal Products, Ilford as UK distributors in December 1992.
Keystrap is now installed and used all over the UK, Ireland, Benelux and, even, the Falkland Islands!
Through 1994 and 1995 while endeavoring to catch up with completing the development of an extensive range of new products,
we started to supply the computer trade with 3D domed logo badges, warranty labels and customised mousemats. Our activity
in this market has been brisk and has lead to a large database of suppliers and manufacturers.
With the development of this commercial website, our intention is to encourage the 'cross-over' of the diverse markets
we serve. The first development of this is the 'Services Forum' where the sportspeople we serve with Clipkey/Sportskey can
contact the computer suppliers we serve with badges, labels and mousepads. Sportspeople can then find the most suitable
sports goods and computer-equipment for their needs and the IT-industry people can find the most suitable sports news,
clubs and equipment for their needs. This approach will be applied to the future products we will regularly add to this
site and we very much trust all our visitors will appreciate the effort!
So, is there anything you want developed? Is there something you think visitors would like to see or buy?
Contact us and we can add it to this website! |
